Connectivity & Device Pairing

Overview

This guide explains how to connect your CamCrusher to one or multiple vehicles, manage paired devices, and ensure strong, consistent Bluetooth performance.

CamCrusher connects to your phone via Bluetooth and automatically re-links every time you start your car (as long as Bluetooth is enabled and the app is allowed to run in the background).

Connecting to Multiple Devices

You can easily manage multiple CamCrusher devices through the app — for example, if you have one in each car.

To connect to an additional or new device:

  1. Open the CamCrusher app.

  2. Go to Options Page → Settings → Connections.

  3. Under Available Devices, choose the device you’d like to connect to.

  4. The app will automatically pair and confirm with a brief light flash on the CamCrusher.

⚠️ Tip: For best results, keep your CamCrusher device within 4 feet (1.2 meters) of your phone during the initial connection.

Managing Connected Devices

The Connections screen is divided into two sections: Paired Devices and Available Devices.

Paired Devices

  • These are devices you’ve already connected to your CamCrusher app.

  • You can rename a paired device by tapping the ✏️ pencil icon, entering a new name, and pressing Submit.

  • You can unlink a device anytime by pressing the Unlink button — the device will show as red (disconnected) once unlinked.

  • To delete a device completely, tap the 🗑️ trash can icon.

  • Connected devices appear in green to indicate an active link.

Available Devices

  • Displays nearby CamCrusher devices ready for pairing.

  • Tap on a listed device to connect — pairing is automatic and takes only a few seconds.

Connectivity & Troubleshooting Tips

  1. Keep the app open in the background.
Closing it fully may require a manual reconnect next time you start your car.

  2. Stay up to date.
Update both your phone’s OS and the CamCrusher app regularly to avoid compatibility issues.

  3. Reboot Bluetooth.
If your device won’t reconnect, toggle Bluetooth off/on, then reopen the CamCrusher app.

  4. Avoid switching between devices mid-trip.
Only one phone can actively control a CamCrusher at a time.
